Research on Handwritten Fonts

This post is some research regarding why we would like to use a handwritten font on our re-design ad for Axe.

Firstly, handwritten fonts give a sense of human touch to the type. It's as if we are communicating past the course and directly to the learner/audience.

Another reason for using handwritten font is that creates a sense of urgency. The font implies urgency or possibly an important last-minute change which will most definitely stand out and make audience notice the change from basic font to handwritten font.

Contrast formal and informal content. Handwritten fonts can make product seem less formal which also depends if that is how the product is supposed to be viewed.

On the next post, we will share the fonts that we have shortlisted and might use.
